Yes, your marriage will be legally binding in your country / state of residence. To ensure all required documentation is completed on time, your wedding planner will help you stay organized and work through all necessary paperwork. PREPARATIONS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
Once your wedding date is secured, an appointment with your Wedding Planner will be set within 2-4 weeks of the booking confirmation.
To find your ideal wedding resort, explore an array of venues, and meet with the resort wedding team, Beaches offers a Test-Drive Your Wedding program that allows you to stay at the resort of your choosing for a special rate, up to two nights. Learn more about Beaches Wedding Test Drive here.
The resort’s Wedding Concierge will be responsible for collecting your Marriage License and Administrative Fee. A $250 deposit will be due at the time of booking and the total balance must be paid 60 days before your arrival.
These fees are in USD and vary by island: Jamaica: $250, Turks & Caicos: $690.
All final payments are due 60 days prior to arrival. To be eligible for a full refund upon cancellation, you must confirm your cancellation at least forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Select entirely non-refundable items including (but are not limited to) certain deposits, administrative fees, and custom items from external event suppliers. Floral Purchases are also non-refundable and/or non-transferable if canceled within 45 days of arrival.
To receive a 50% refund, cancellations must be made 44-31 days prior to arrival, with the exception of the non-refundable items listed above. Any cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival are non-refundable.
The islands of Jamaica and Turks & Caicos do not require a medical or blood test to be performed.
BEFORE THE WEDDING
It all depends on your preference, but most couples will opt to have their wedding attire as a carry-on item, stored in a garment bag. Before your flight, be sure to connect with your airline carrier to ensure there will be space in the airplane’s closet and avoid any issues the day of.
Your dedicated resort wedding event team will greet you upon arrival and be by your side all weekend to ensure your wedding is executed in alignment with your vision.
All Beaches Resorts offer wedding hair and makeup services through the award-winning Red Lane Spa. You can also book facials, manicures, pedicures, and other spa treatments to get you prepped for your big day. View the full list of spa and salon options at each resort.
While Beaches Resorts does not offer a tuxedo rental service, your dedicated wedding team can share contact information for local formalwear providers (varies by island). When it comes to attire selections, we suggest lightweight options to keep everyone cool and comfortable!
WEDDING CEREMONY
Beaches destination wedding venues can accommodate indoor and outdoor events and include over-the-water gazebos and beachfront settings. Venues vary by resort. View Beaches destination wedding venues.
Local floral and decor options vary by island. To explore what is available on the island of your destination wedding, the Beaches wedding team can provide a catalog of floral and decor options.
Customs laws may require you to pay taxes and duties on any items you choose to bring with you, so we recommend using options already available on the island. If you choose to bring your own decor items or favors, Beaches does include a resort setup fee. To learn more about the fees and any potential restrictions, reach out to your wedding planner.
Beaches Resorts can host religious wedding ceremonies such as Catholic, Jewish, and Hindu (additional fees may apply), non-denominational ceremonies with a minister, or non-religious ceremonies.
You are required to stay at the same resort where your wedding is being held. But if you plan a Beaches honeymoon, you can participate in a Beaches Honeymoon Hop, which allows you to explore and stay at multiple resorts.
The more the merrier! Beaches are family-friendly resorts for all ages, which means you can include little ones in your big day. If you are planning an adults-only wedding but have guests traveling with children, Beaches offers nanny services, a Kids Camp, and an array of activities to keep tweens and teens busy throughout from sunup to sundown.
WEDDING RECEPTION
Beaches offers vanilla, chocolate, Caribbean fruit, red velvet, carrot or brownie wedding cake flavors. Our pastry chefs will also work with you to include specific filling flavors and create custom cake designs that align with your wedding look. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and sugar-free options are also available (by request) for those with dietary restrictions. View our cakes and sweets menu for more details.
Beaches weddings offer custom bar setups, passed hors d’oeuvres, and plated or buffet dinners that can be arranged for an additional setup fee per guest.
For a customized wedding experience, Beaches offers various options to enhance your big celebration with add-on options including private welcome cocktail parties, game nights, dancefloors, live music, and more! Contact your Wedding Planner for your resort’s weekly entertainment event schedule.
AFTER THE WEDDING
Your marriage certificate will be sent within 6‐8 weeks for weddings held in Jamaica and 8-10 weeks for weddings held in Turks & Caicos.
